   <textarea name="description" rows="12" cols="85" wrap="virtual" readonly>Established instruments to measure cognition in subjects with Alzheimer???s       Disease (AD) lack sensitivity and responsiveness in early stages of the disease process. The registration standard Alzheimer???s Disease Assessment Scale Cognitive Subscale (ADAS-Cog)  is developed for the moderate dementia stages of AD and is not sensitive to detect and follow AD progression during pre-dementia stages. Thus, there are no generally accepted, validated clinical endpoints for use in therapeutic trials in the pre-dementia stages of AD.                       Aims:                                                                             - to  increase understanding of the sensitivity of different tools used to  measure cognition in different stages of the AD continuum                         - identify measures sensitive to cognitive/functional decline/disease progression in early AD </textarea>
